The DesktopPet app

DesktopPet does not collect or transmit personal information, names, affection progress, usage analytics or advertising identifiers. Pet names, preferences and affection progress are stored locally on your Mac. There is no separate app account, advertising or tracking service.

Apple processes optional in-app purchases through StoreKit and your Apple Account. DesktopPet reads verified purchase records to provide access; purchase history is not sent to a developer-operated server. Apple's services are subject to Apple's privacy policy. Purchases can be restored using the same Apple Account. Removing local app data removes local preferences and affection progress, but does not cancel Apple purchases.

The app reads local date, time zone, system region, built-in battery status and system wake events to provide contextual reactions. It does not request location, screen recording, accessibility control, camera or microphone access. Contact the developer using the support link on the App Store listing for privacy questions.

This website uses no analytics, advertising, cookies or contact forms. Fonts and images are served with the site. The hosting provider may process IP addresses and request details to deliver pages and protect the service. External GitHub and Apple services follow their own privacy policies.
